Garmin's Generosity in a Challenging Year
“Generosity and giving is instilled in Garmin’s culture, as is service to others and servant leadership,” said Jennifer Pozzuolo, Human Resources Manager at Garmin. “People just give back at Garmin.”
Jennifer said the company’s associates volunteer and give monetarily to a broad number of agencies in the community, and this year’s United Way pledges were special.
“United Way serves so many amazing agencies and initiatives throughout our communities, and our associates love the flexibility to designate gifts to a specific cause or charity of their choosing (within their gift to UWGKC),” she said.
Even during an unusual year where person-to-person campaigning wasn’t an option, creative solutions made sure giving was a rewarding experience for Garmin associates.
“We appreciated the virtual fundraising effort and virtual information sessions,” Jennifer said. “Our tagline is ‘Beat yesterday’ and we take it to heart!”
