LeadKC
LeadKC is an initiative launched by the United Way of Greater Kansas City, the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership and Nonprofit Connect. LeadKC is designed to improve your performance as a board member and improve the efficacy of nonprofit boards within Greater Kansas City.
LeadKC certification can be attained by attending the six session listed below over a two-year period. The sessions are intended to be sequential and each session will be offered at least twice in the two-year period.
Board Training 101
Offered Tuesday, April 24
In this training, attendees will have the chance to hear from a panel of leading nonprofit executives in the Kansas City community. These panelists, who have served at the frontlines of the nonprofit sector, will cover topics ranging from what agencies need most from board members, including traits and skills that are in demand, general examples of behaviors to avoid and ways that board members can be most beneficial to agencies and effective in their roles.
