Youth and Family Opportunities

Youth and families are experiencing a steady trend in volunteering and in available opportunities. More schools require community service hours for social groups and graduation, and families volunteer as a way to reconnect and give back to their respective communities.

When we volunteer, we actively participate in building our community, engage in civic responsibility and discover our own special skills and talents.

How to use the guide

For your convenience, volunteer opportunities are grouped by the minimum age and then by agency name within each section at the left. For examplel, if you are 18 years old, you can volunteer for any of the opportunities in the guide. If you are 14 years old, you can volunteer for any opportunities up to age 14.

Each listing includes the following:

  • 1. Organization name
  • 2. Location
  • 3. Mission statement
  • 4. Contact information
  • 5. Volunteer opportunity description
  • 6. Minimum age

If you are interested in any of the opportunities listed, please feel free to contact the agency directly.

The youth and family guide is updated on an ongoing basis, so please check back frequently, and be sure to mention to the organization that you learned about the agency's volunteer needs on our website.
