United Way 2-1-1 Part-Time Call Specialist

 

Role Summary

Four Open Positions:

Position 1 – Mon 9am-4:30pm, Tues 9am-4:30pm, Wed 7am-2:30pm (21 hrs)
Position 2 – TWThSa 5pm-12am (26 hrs)
Position 3 – Sat 7am-5pm, Sun 7am-3pm (17 hrs)
Position 4 – Mon 12a-7am, Wed 5pm-12am (13 hrs)  

Responsible for responding to local and contract calls; providing caller problem assessment, information and referral and follow-up appropriate to the caller’s needs. When necessary, provides advocacy by contacting resources to facilitate service delivery.

United Way 2-1-1 Part-Time Resource Specialist

Role Summary

Under general supervision in a call-center environment, monitors and evaluates the quality of community resource information contained in the United Way 2-1-1 resource database. Provides information and support to the Information and Referral service of the United Way 2-1-1 operation through data gathering, creating relationships with and sending out annual solicitations to all agencies contained in the database and data input into the database software. This position also has regular duties as a Call Specialist in the United Way 2-1-1 call center. As a Call Specialist, you are responsible for caller and client response, problem assessment, and information and referral. When necessary, provides advocacy by contacting resources to facilitate service delivery. Supports and adheres to AIRS standards.

Veterans Navigator

Role Summary

In a call-center environment, the Veterans Navigator will provide information and appropriate referrals as well as advocacy to veterans and/or their families contacting United Way 2-1-1 seeking services. The Navigator will guide the caller through the maze of government and community services available to help identify the specific ones that meet the callers need. The Navigator will also monitor and evaluate the quality of community resource information for veterans contained in the United Way 2-1-1 resource database; provide information and support to the Information and Referral service of the United Way 2-1-1 operation through data gathering specific to those who have had military service, creating relationships with and sending out annual solicitations to all veteran serving agencies contained in the database and inputting this data into the database software. This position also has back-up duties as a Call Specialist in the United Way 2-1-1 call center. As a Call Specialist, the Navigator will be responsible for caller response, problem assessment, and information and referral.
